This RIP professional development
session is designed to provide grades K-5 teachers with the necessary skills and techniques needed to engage elementary students (including special needs students who have worked exceptionally well with this program) in scientific inquiry.

Participants will learn all aspects of the inquiry process, including data analysis for decision making that is appropriate for the

developmental level of the elementary student. This course is especially designed for teachers wishing to learn inquiry-based instruction and strategies to foster critical thinking skills with a high degree of comfort.

The Research Investigation Process ( RIP^Ò ), developed by the instructor

Dr. Robert Landsman, is a scientifically research-based program that has been
recognized by the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) as an
Exemplary Science Program.
